Trust Centre

Together Minds UK is built on privacy, safety and trust. The Trust Centre brings together everything you need to understand how your data is handled, how the community is kept safe, how we are governed, and how to get help or raise a concern.

Privacy & Your Data

How we handle your information under UK GDPR — consent, secure storage, and what you control.

Safeguarding

Our commitment to keeping people safe, including emergency signposting and online safety guidance.

Community Standards

Clear rules and expectations so the community stays respectful, inclusive and kind.

Reporting a Concern

Report content or behaviour securely, and reach our team for safeguarding or support needs.

User-Controlled Data

Adjust accessibility, notifications and privacy preferences anytime from one place.

AI Transparency

Where we use responsible AI, we keep people in control and clearly distinguish AI suggestions from verified facts.

Governance

Our governance structure

Clear, accountable governance keeps safety and ethics at the centre of every decision. Responsibilities are shared and independently checked.

Trustee Board

Holds overall accountability for safeguarding, privacy, finance and strategy, reviewing safeguarding at least twice a year.

Designated Safeguarding Lead

A named lead with deputies, accountable for concerns, referrals, records and staff training.

Data Protection Lead

Oversees UK GDPR compliance, data subject rights, breach response and information governance.

Community Safety Council

A cross-team group spanning safeguarding, moderation, accessibility and data, meeting to review risk and incidents.

Advisory network

An independent advisory network

We are guided by people with lived and professional expertise. Advisors act independently, are selected for their experience, and can challenge our decisions. They are not paid for advocacy and never make money from members.

Lived Experience Advisory

People with lived experience of caring, disability, neurodivergence, mental health and family support, who shape how we design and review features.

Professional Advisory

Practising safeguarding, mental health, education and social-care professionals who advise on evidence and good practice.

Safeguarding & Online Safety Advisors

Independent safeguarding and online-safety experts, informed by recognised statutory safeguarding and online-safety guidance, who review our policies and incident learning.

Community & Partner Advisors

Representatives of partner charities, councils, schools and community groups who keep our work grounded in real community need.

How we make decisions and stay accountable

  • Safeguarding-by-default — new features are assessed for risk before launch and monitored after.
  • Evidence-based policy drawn from statutory guidance, recognised safeguarding and online-safety frameworks, and lived experience.
  • Transparency reports summarising moderation, safeguarding activity and data requests, published periodically.
  • Incident reviews after serious concerns, with learning shared with trustees and reflected in policy updates.
  • Annual independent review of safeguarding practice, with action plans tracked to completion.
